Book Reviews
Warning: This book is delightfully creepy and unsettling. There's the story of a succubus, a creepy doll maker, and a gentleman's club with a gruesome purpose, among others. The book is graphic in terms of its violence and sexual contact, but these aren't things that bother me. The best way to describe this book, in my opinion, is that it's a written version of a Salvador Dali (or other surrealist) painting. Some surrealists worked to create an undercurrent of dread to show a break in reality, and this book accomplishes that.
A Stunning atmosphere with stories that will haunt you!
This collection is full of creepy, scary, and downright unsettling stories in the best way! Walden knows how to set an atmosphere and I look forward to reading more from this author!
Evocative and creepy, stirs your senses and leaves an unsettling feeling: this collection of tales is a dark, diverse and disturbing read that pulls you into a reality not quite the same, but not far off...

BIO

A brief bio of myself: I was born in Fort Lauderdale Florida, but reared in Rochester, New York. I am bi-racial (father Jamaican and mother white) which has played into my writing of never belonging and family guilt. I am a proud mother of two children and three cat babies. I have a loving boyfriend, who I met during the pandemic working at a grocery store. He worked in prepared foods and I rolled sushi. We create amazing food together to this day. I love to garden and grow my own vegetables. I even have a pear tree!
When time allows, I judge for the Portland Film Festivals for Horror and Lovecraft. I have a double BA from University of Rochester in English and History and an MA from SUNY College at Brockport in Creative Writing. Aside from my short story collection, I also have four short stories published in Fiction Atlas Press Anthologies and placed second two years in a row in the Lovecraftian Micro Fiction produced by Arkham Bazaar.
